Abstract:
The burning of Jewish books - be it burning of the Talmud by lay or secular authorities in the Middle Ages, burning of Jewish "heretical" books by Jews themselves, or book burnings by the Nazis or the Soviets - has been a recurring pattern in Jewish history. Book burnings always aimed to harm Jews, either as a group or individually, in the most painful way.
Note:
Mainly of Jews, throughout the ages.
