Kurzfassung:
Discusses Christian-Jewish relations from antiquity through the Reformation (e.g. John Chrysostom, the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, and Luther). Emphasizes the role of the Church in incitement against the Jews, including discrimination and persecution throughout the centuries. Agrees with some theologians who assert that the Church has taught all peoples to despise the Jews, and that pogroms have often resulted from such teachings. Asserts that Christians should now declare openly that the sources of Jew-hatred are to be found in Christian theology.
