Abstract: Discusses the writings of Jünger, one of the founders of the doctrine of "Conservative Revolution" - a nationalist, rightist, and leader in the anti-democratic German movement. Deals with discussions in recent historiography about the relationship between Nazism and the Conservative Revolution, and the attitudes of Jünger himself to Nazi ideology. States that up to 1927 Jünger supported Nazi ideology, but he later criticized National Socialism, not approving of antisemitism, the primitive methods of propaganda, and the Nazi Party's methods in its struggle for power. However, he never publicly criticized the regime. Even after 1945 Jünger formulated both positive and negative opinions concerning Nazism. Underlines the ambiguity of his position, which allowed for various interpretations which are reflected in the historiography on the Conservative Revolution.
