Kurzfassung: Disputes the view (recently expressed, inter alia, by Daniel Boyarin) that Paul was the father of misogyny and antisemitism, and that he confused equality with sameness, although this may well have been true for many of his Christian followers. Views Paul as a Jew, not a founder of a new religion. Focuses on Galatians 3:28, "There is no longer Jew or Greek..., " and concludes, in opposition to the common view in both the past and present, that Paul was not in favor of ending distinctions between people or of doing away with Jewish practices, e.g. circumcision. Stresses that Paul's mission was to the Gentiles; they had no need for circumcision or Jewish ritual. Paul was suggesting a union of male and female, as in Eden and as the nucleus of a family, and the combining of all peoples, Jews and Gentiles, into a family where the constituent members did not need to lose their identities.
