Kurzfassung:
Although the Russian religious philosopher Solovyov (1853-1900) identified in some ways with Dostoyevsky, he profoundly disagreed with the views of the famous novelist and publicist about the Jews. Solovyov's "triadic", rather than dualistic, worldview enabled him to see Judaism not in the way Dostoyevsky did, as the antithesis of Christianity, but as a force that could help reconcile the peoples of Eastern Europe and revitalize Christianity. Solovyov could thus "reintegrate both Judaism and the Jews into religious history... albeit ultimately through Christianity". He had an influence on the Russian Orthodox revival in the 1960s-70s in the USSR, but it was not as strong as that of Dostoyevsky's antisemitic nationalism.
