Abstract: Contests claims made by Hungarian revisionist historians who minimize the number of casualties amongst Hungary's Jews. Dwells on the problems involved in determining the size of the Jewish population in Hungary during the Holocaust and the extent of the losses suffered by the Jews. Examines the casualties among the Jews recruited into the Hungarian labor service units, the deportation of aliens of Jewish origin to Galicia in 1941, the numbers of the deported to concentration and extermination camps and those who were taken on death marches, and the death toll of the Arrow Cross terror in Budapest after 15 October 1944.

Abstract: Briefly discusses the lack of activity of the Judenrat in Budapest in 1944, stating that most of its members continued to believe that the government would protect the Jews. Most of the leaders went into hiding or fled the country. The younger members who then took over the functioning of the Jewish Council were somewhat successful in helping Jews, due to aid from embassies of neutral countries.

Abstract: Rescue efforts (and resistance actions) of Hungarian Jews were conducted by three groups: the Central Jewish Council, with its government connections, saved ca. 5,000 Jews; the Kasztner group, by direct negotiations with the Germans, saved 1,680 Hungarians Jews; the united Zionist youth movement, the most active and efficient group, succeeded in saving more than 5,000 children and adults.

Abstract: Drawing on testimonies of Jews who were taken for forced labor to Białystok, the chairman of the Committee for the Research of Nazi Crimes in Białystok describes operations related to "Sonder-Aktion 1005" in which the SS tried to erase the traces of the mass murder of the Jews. Describes activities around Augustów, Grodno, Skiddel, Kunna, and Białystok between October 1943-July 1944. Some of the Jews escaped during the attempt to execute them.
