Abstract:
Discusses the publicistic aspect of the work of the Italian poet and literary critic (1879-1927). States that his failed attempts to achieve a high position in journalism or banking drove Gaeta to believe in a Jewish conspiracy under Masonic disguise. He even entered a Masonic lodge for a brief period in order to "prove" his theory. An enthusiastic promoter of "Aryan values" and admirer of India, Gaeta wrote about the "evil Jews'" plans for world domination, publishing after 1909 in the periodical "Lupa" of Paolo Orano, himself an antisemite and ex-Mason. Gaeta's book "La Massoneria" was first published in 1939 and again under the Italian Social Republic (1943-45), under the sponsorship of Giovanni Preziosi.
