Abstract:
A defense of the Swedish Bible exegete who was a professor at Uppsala University between 1928-53 against attacks by several Jewish writers in Sweden (e.g. Boris Betzikoff and Jackie Jakubowski) who accuse him of having been an antisemite and Nazi sympathizer. Claims that some of Fridrichsen's polemic may seem harsh but that was the common style of theologians at the time. There is, however, room for criticism of Fridrichsen's insensitive use of language, at times, when discussing the adversaries of Jesus, but as a whole he cannot be accused of antisemitism. Concludes that interreligious dialogue is very important and should not be ahistorically selective and arrogant.
