Abstract:
Since the establishment of the State of Israel, relations between the indigenous Arab-Palestinian minority and the Jewish majority – including state authorities – have been fraught with tensions related to the divergent national identities of the two groups.¹ This divide contributes to the tremendous challenge of creating a definition of the State of Israel and drafting a constitution inclusive of all of Israel’s citizens.
