Abstract:
In order to reduce antisemitic stereotypes among Christian feminist biblical scholars, recommends that they familiarize themselves with Judaism, traditional Christian antisemitism, and antisemitism among their peers. Such preparation will, hopefully, lead to the avoidance of triumphalism, scapegoating, and supersessionism, whereby Judaism is denigrated in comparison to Christianity, and Judaism is unfairly blamed for patriarchalism, etc. Counsels that Christians avoid speaking in the name of Judaism and that, in the wake of the Holocaust, scholars consider the implications of their, possibly antisemitic, interpretations of Judaism.
