Abstract:
After World War II the Federation of Jewish Communities in Yugoslavia initiated a drive to find, collect and preserve objects of historical and cultural value which the German occupier had taken out of the country. Most of the manuscripts which now comprise the Museum's collection were created on Yugoslav territory during a period of time covering the first part of the 17th century until the first decades of the 20th century.
