Abstract:
Iustin'ia Glinka (1836-1916) was a lady-in-waiting of the Russian Empress Maria Feodorovna, and later served as a secret agent of the Russian police in Paris. Aspiring to become a Russian super-spy, she sent a letter to the Tsar, most probably in 1883, in which she tried to impress him with accounts about the power of international Jewry and with her alleged ability to foil a possible conspiracy against Russia. Discusses Glinka's role in the emergence of the text of the "Protocols" in Russia, which was either smuggled in from France or fabricated in Russia.
