Abstract:
Describes her research to unveil the story of a young child, Hans Abraham Ochs (1928-1936), whose gravestone in the Köln Jewish cemetery bears a later addition: "Umgekommen durch eine irregeleitete Jugend" ("Died at the hands of misled youth"). The newspapers did not mention his death; a notice in the Jewish newspaper attributed his death to illness. But the author located relatives of his who told her that the eight-year-old child was beaten to death by a group of Hitler youths while he was playing in the park accompanied by his mother.
