Abstract:
A study of Nazi physicians, particularly those who were in Auschwitz, based on interviews conducted in Germany and in Austria with 28 former Nazi doctors. Analyzes their motivations for killing their patients, and their ideological belief that they were performing a healing function in the name of a higher bioethical principle - mass murder as a healing and cleansing process.
