Abstract: Islamic fundamentalism is deeply antagonistic toward Israel, with absolute rejection of the legitimacy of Jewish statehood. This attitude is based on traditional Islamic conceptions of Jewish inferiority, and the fear of a Jewish-Zionist conspiracy to undermine Islam and spread westernization in the Islamic countries.
