Abstract:
Gleiwitz was a sub-camp of Auschwitz, in Upper Silesia (now called Gliwice, Poland). Robert Pross was a young plant manager for Degussa at Gleiwitz, where Jewish slave laborers from Auschwitz were, among other types of work, engaged in refining and processing the gold, silver, and other precious metals taken from the Jews. The ambiguities discussed lie in the motivations, gains, and losses of all those who were involved. Relates, also, to recent claims of former slave laborers for reparations.
Abstract:
States that there is a gap between historical and legal approaches
