Abstract: Discusses "the solution to the Jewish question" in Poland in light of articles published in the Catholic press in the interwar years, particularly in the 1930s. Analyzes the main motifs in anti-Jewish articles, such as the need for an economic boycott against the Jews, and for a struggle against Jewish influences, not only in the economy but also in Polish culture. There were proposals for ghettoization of the Jews, as well as for their mass emigration. Shows how the authors of these articles, who were mainly priests, explained the supposed need for such anti-Jewish measures, and how they reconciled their views with Christian morality. However, most of the writers condemned violence, and did not approve of the methods adopted in Nazi Germany to get rid of the Jews.
