Abstract:
Examines the change that took place in the literary depiction of the Shoah around the time of the Eichmann trial. The narrative model based on factual testimony had reached an impasse and it gave way to polyphonic, deconstructive narration. The work of the originally Polish, French-language author Piotr Rawicz, "Le Sang du ciel" (1961), was the first exponent of this phenomenon. Views the Serbian Danilo Kiš and the French Georges Perec as Rawicz's heirs, and focuses on their novels "Peščanik" (1972) and "W ou le souvenir d'enfance" (1993).
