Abstract:
Presents the Nazi anti-Jewish legislation intended to complete the racial purification of the Reich, including debates within the Nazi Party and government agencies concerning the categorization of non-Aryans and the implementation of the legislation against "Mischlinge." Concludes that most of the "Mischlinge" survived the war because economic, social, and political considerations deterred the Nazis from an open confrontation with the Aryan relatives of the Jewish Christian families.
