Abstract:
Examines the biblical and rabbinical notion of the promised land, the attitude towards non-Jewish interpretations (i.e. in the theological discussion there is justification for a new Christian understanding of the Bible if it does not exclude the Jewish one), the conditionality of the promise and grace, and, finally, the meaning of the idea of the promise for all of humanity.
