    Abstract: Hillel Klein, 1923 in Krakau geboren, 1985 in Jerusalem gestorben, war Überlebender der Shoah und wurde einer der Großen unter den Shoah-Forschern der ersten Generation. Das hier erstmals publizierte Buch - entstanden in seinen letzten Lebensjahren - ist eine Zusammenfassung seiner psychoanalytischen Forschungen und zugleich das Dokument einer Selbstanalyse. Klein wandte sich entschieden gegen die Tendenz, die Bergmann und Jucovy 〉fatal〈 genannt haben: Schuldgefühle zu pathologisieren. Er sah in der Überlebensschuld, die er in jedem Überlebenden fand, ein Zeichen von Hoffnung; denn das Schuldgefühl verknüpft mit dem, worauf es sich richtet, eröffnet den Zugang zur verlorengegangenen Welt. Im Wiederfinden beginnt die Wiederbelebung. - Kleins Buch liefert einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur Erforschung posttraumatischer Wege ins Freie und ist über seine Fachgrenzen hinaus von großer Bedeutung
