Summary:
Founded by Rabbi Seligmann Meyer (1853-1925), the "Deutsche Israelitische Zeitung" published articles about Judaism and religious study, as well of news of general interest to the Jewish community. Its supplement, "Die Laubhütte," included short stories for the Jewish family.

Supplementary Materials:
Die Laubhütte became a supplement to Deutsche israelitische Zeitung with issue Jg. 17, Nr. 48 (1900).
Jahrg. 47, no. 7-12 (1930) contain Mitteilungsblatt des Hessischen Landesverbandes des gesetzestreuer Synagogengemeinden.
