Abstract: Hanuš Hachenburg? Although we do not know his life story, or even what he looked like before he was transported to the Terezín concentration camp, the depth of his verses chills us.Hanuš Hachenburg's poems, with more than a third being published for the first time, were written as contributions to the magazine Vedem, which was secretly produced by 13-16 year old boys in Terezín, between 1942 and 1944. We believe that this publication is a tribute to the boys who, despite the historical period and circumstances, sought goodness and light in life, and that the poems can still speak to us, even today. The collection of Hanuš Hachenburg's poems, The White Color of the Clouds Right Alongside, results from a long term project of Přírodní High School, which focused on Nazi persecution and the Holocaust. Přírodní High School is a small private school established in 1993. As a part of the curriculum, it is engaged in extensive documentary and research projects.
