Abstract:
This catalogue was published with the support of Fondation Antoine de Galbert for the Stéphane Mandelbaum exhibition at Centre Pompidou, March 6th to May 20th, 2019. Stéphane Mandelbaum (1961 – 1986) remains one of drawing’s most disruptive representatives. In some one hundred works, produced in the 1980s, this monograph narrates the tumultuous destiny of the young Belgian artist, assassinated at the age of twenty-five. Co-edition Centre Pompidou – Dilecta Authors: Bernard Blistène, Bruno Jean, Choghakate Kazarian, Anne Montfort, Gérard Preszow, Pierre Thoma
