Abstract:
Discusses the views of István Csurka, vice-president of the Hungarian Democratic Forum (the leading party in Hungary today), and of his followers on Hungarian history, Hungary today, the "Jewish question", and the Holocaust. Surveys press discussions of Csurka's supporters on the participation of Hungary in the Second World War. States that they show a dominating tendency of identifying Nazism with communism and even glorifying fascism and Hitler for their anti-communism. Concludes that in such a vision of the past, the Jewish Holocaust must be "forgotten". Notes that many articles of Western revisionists negating the Holocaust are published in Hungary.
