Abstract: After the pogroms caused by the Black Death plague of 1348, many Jewish communities decided to unite and take advantage of favorable political conditions to obtain better treatment. They sought royal decrees and papal bullae prohibiting collective charges of ritual murder, anti-Jewish violence during Passover week, as well as pogroms, curtailed jurisdiction of the Inquisition, and reduction of taxes. They obtained only a papal exemption from accusations of responsibility for illness or drought, and some other small privileges which were soon forgotten. Pp. 147-162 contain a translation from Hebrew of the text of the accords signed by two delegates for the Jewish communities of Catalonia and one for Valencia. Pp. 164-173 contain a commentary by J. Riera i Sans, "Guia per a una lectura comprensiva dels acords". Pp. 174-179 contain four documents dated 1355-1386.
